I have faced this issue more than once. After creating either a group or a user and added them to a group, especially in a server environment, it might be annoying to logout and login for group permissions to take effect. So, Linux command to solve the subject of the blog issue in one command is:
exec su -l $USER
The dam left in it’s wake a path of incomprehensibleness destruction. At least 40 people have lost their lives. The maps below shows how the dam’s water could have flowed when the dam broke its banks, this could be probably due to the on going long rainfall.

The map below shows flow accumulation of rain/flood water, as it finds it’s way to a river, reservoir, swamp etc. Due to poor drainage such water tends to stagnate, because its natural flow path, according to elevation has been altered, blocked or existing drainage systems have been clogged. This as a result leads to undesirable effects such as roads being cut off, inconveniencing many and leads to interruption of transport. See full map
